1 Corinthians Part 6

  1. Please read 1 Corinthians 4:1-21. What are some initial thoughts or personal applications you were thinking through after Sunday’s sermon?

  2. Consider Colossians 3:23-24. How does a true understanding of stewardship change the way we think and carry out our lives? What about the way people think about us?

  3. Consider 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. Why does Paul decry the boasting of the Corinthians? How does boasting in weakness stand in contrast to the “wisdom” or “talk” of those in Corinth walking in arrogance?

  4. Bryson spoke of treasuring Christ being the key to embracing suffering as Paul does. How does treasuring Christ lead us to walk out our faith?

  5. Imitation was a big theme in this text. Who are you seeking to imitate and why? Do you believe your faith is worth imitating? Why or why not?

  6. Paul, in this chapter, contrasts the true power found in Christ with those who are nothing but talk. What are some ways talk is easier for us than embracing the true power of the cross?
